Our Story

Madame Peacock's Beer & Bling is your favorite combination of women's boutique and men's beer paradise. Tucked between racks of trendy women's clothing and accessories is a full-service beer bar...and a local favorite, at that! Whether you're in need of a little retail therapy or you're just looking for a dry seat to hang your cowboy hat or motorcycle helmet, the friendly staff at Madame Peacock's has you covered.

With 15 years of retail experience offering their private label products like "Bad Girls of Sturgis" and "Bad Girls of Deadwood" at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Tom and Julie Koth found themselves hoping for a more permanent home in the Black Hills of South Dakota. In May of 2012, they purchased The Mint Casino building and Madame Peacock's was born.

Staying true to the casino roots of the building and the locale, keeping the bar in service was a no-brainer, and it quickly became one of their customers favorite features. Not only do the women rave about Tom and Julie's hand-picked, unique selection of merchandise, it's also pretty well known that EVERYONE enjoys getting a little crazy at the bar (we have photos to prove it!).

"Every trip into a Women's Shop with my wife left me looking for the 'Husband Chair'. And I always said 'They should have a place in these shops where a guy can get a beer and watch TV while their ladies shop'. Well.... My search is over and I can die a happy man!!!

Madame Peacock's Accessory Lounge is a dream come true! A small bar with big screen TV tucked into the side of this little shop is Heaven! I sat and had a beer while my wife enjoyed shopping without me interrupting in any way! As a matter of fact, I told her to keep shopping because I wasn't finished with my beer yet! And the staff were a ball to sit and chat with!
